The Two-Headed Dragon
Art installation in an urban environment
Cité de la Mode et du Design Paris, summer 2015
Commissioned by the Cité, Alexis Tricoire's monumental installation puts the 1907 modernist building on a plant infusion.
The result is a dialogue between nature and architecture reminding us of the importance of plants in the urban environment.
The flexibility of the structure creates an organic presence within the rigorous framework of the 1907 concrete industrial building.
Halfway between art and plant design, a monumental installation springs from the Seine at the Quai d'Austerlitz and invades the Cité de la Mode et du Design.
The vegetation irrigated in the tubes extends over the entire entrance hall and the atrium on two levels.
